A photographic survey of the landscape of the island of Lanzarote, the easternmost of the Canary Islands. A look at the anthropised landscape, in a place where wild nature clashes with human presence, creating a unique and affascinating combination. The work explores remote areas of the island, shaped by centuries of volcanic eruptions, in search of invisible stories and echoes from past lives.
Rugged landscapes characterised by bristling rock forms, where the human presence is rarefied, invisible and silent. An exploration that starts from the hillsides of black sand, arriving at the coastal resorts with low houses in light colours, dusted with fine sand, and finally reaching the Atlantic Ocean.
